How is your time together structured?

Good question.  We want to leave room for what God may be wanting to do, but the general format is having worship time, then reviewing our weekly reading which may include watching the Bible Project for an intro to the bible reading and sharing what we learned about God or ourselves through the reading.  We currently are including prayer time on Sundays then lunch.  During the week we will get together to socialize and pray for one another.  Once a month we collect all the home groups for a collective service and listen to a favorite teacher.

Do you have communion?  Yes.

For theological/leadership training for staff. Is there a preferred book list?

Our primary source is the Bible, but this past year we have used Bible Doctrine by Wayne Grudem, Knowledge of the Holy by A.W. Tozer, Instruments in the Redeemers Hands by Paul Tripp, Life Together by Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and Total Church by Tim Chester.

Is this based off a format you've seen in place anywhere else?

Yes.  Besides the Acts church, Francis Chan, Carl Walker and Greg and Jan Griffin, YWAM missionaries, have had significant impact on the format of this Church.

Are there any other influences?

Yes.  Besides Acts in the Bible and the Holy Spirit current influences are Francis Chan and Darren Wilson.

How do you handle childcare?

The parent house church currently includes youth with worship and bible intro where we watch the thebibleproject.com where they draw out the biblical story for the section of the bible we are covering.  We then offer a time to do a story time, craft or theatre performance based on the last weeks reading.

How do you handle donations? Are you a non-profit?

No we hope to pursue a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Now we don’t collect a tithe as a group but just talk about where we give as families. As we grow we will form up the non profit as needed.
